Babylon is a new chain of 90’s bars, and there couldn’t be a better way to raise awareness of their openings than using Projection Advertising’s unique projection bike. Iconic 90’s images were projected close by rival night spots and a toe-tapping selection of 90’s pop anthems drew the attention of Sheffield’s coolest revellers. A team of promotional staff flyering and dancing to the music added to the excitement. The trial activity has been hailed a massive success and future dates are currently being booked.
A series of custom gobo projections around the BAT head office have been temporarily installed to mark the relaunch of the Pall Mall packaging. The ‘teaser’ custom gobos reminded employees of the old brand before the ‘launch’ custom gobos were installed.
Projection Adverting were called in last minute to produce a lighting show for the arrival of Pharrel Wiliams to his After Party in Maddox, Mayfair. In the narrow street Projection Advertising still created a giant projection, and supplied VJ artists to mix a visual extravaganza consisting of the logos of the Billionaire Boys Club, the Ice Cream label and Pharrel himself.
Projection Advertising’s custom gobo service was chosen to produce a run of 45 custom greyscale gobos of various photographic images. As exclusive UK distributors for Goboservice, our customers benefit from the highest resolution, lasered custom gobos, with an unsurpassed reputation for speed, quality and consistency in manufacturing.
The front of Waterloo station was turned into a giant billboard as a PR stunt to raise further awareness of the tragedies taking place daily in Burma. The giant digital projections of the TV commercial were our welcome contribution to the pro bono campaign organised by Ogilvy Advertising.
Giant digital projections onto a high footfall site in Notting Hill highlighted awareness of the Great Tyksie Flag Signing event in Hyde Park. The full motion projections towered above passers-by informing them of details of the event and creating buzz and exposure around the brand.
In February Projection Advertising were tasked with a series of large format building projections onto various landmarks around Cambridge – these photos would form the backdrop to the 6 sheet and 48 sheet poster advertising campaign in the run up to the opening of the Grand Arcade. The client/agency alike were so impressed by the building projections that they wanted a larger advertising campaign just prior to the launch – and that's what we delivered. A series of massive, simultaneous projections around Cambridge provided the desired impact – each featuring a digital clip showcasing 'The Architects of Fashion’ retailing within the centre. The projection campaign was topped with an enormous, 30m wide soft-edge blended digital projection covering the entire facade of one of Cambridge's landmarks.
Another hugely successful mobile digital projection campaign around some of London's busiest retail locations. The large format projections were planned and produced by Projection Advertising and a number of new sites were sourced to fulfill the brief but the results were really appreciated by the client – we really took the message and placed it right in front of target customers and competitors stores…get in touch and find out how.
Projection Advertising were contracted to install a pilot scheme of the whispering window technology for a major mobile phone retailer in Dublin, Ireland. The compact modules measuring the size of half a mug fix discreetly to any window, turning it into a massive speaker drawing the attention of those passing by in the street. The sound has an unusual property in that it comes from the entire window, not a point source like a speaker. The feedback to date has been great - people literally stop in the street to look at where the sound is coming from. Whispering windows are a great addition to an interactive window installation or as a standalone application.
Following 2007's successful projection campaign, Projection Advertising were asked to plan and produce another outdoor projection campaign to drive awareness and sales for the Tutankamun Exhibition and the Pharoah Bear – Hamleys cuddly version of the 'Boy King'. Projections were conducted through rush hour at high footfall/road-traffic locations capitalising on London's long winter evenings for a powerful, effective and strategic campaign.
ScreenExpo is the UK’s biggest digital signage trade show – and Sanyo asked Projection Advertising to design and install an interactive floor projection for the two day show. The bright floor projection utilised our new water effect for the AdFloor system – the most realistic ripple effect on the market. AdFloor made a real impact, even in the brightly lit environment of an exhibition hall.
December saw Projection Advertising return to the Southbank for a James May documentary, produced by BBC2. The filming encompassed a giant digital projection of images created by an interactive kaleidoscope developed by the students of Chelsea College. James May's comment "is that the Ducati of Projectors? "summed up the impact that the building projection made. The show will be broadcasted on BBC2 on the 23rd and 25th December.
Projection Advertising were approached by the London Aquarium with the challenge of creating an interactive visual experience for a two week installation on London's famous Southbank. The solution - three giant interactive floor projections -the largest installation of its kind in the UK. After comprehensive site surveys, structural reports, fully customising the creative content and a 14 hour rigging session the project went live - all in 10 days. Each interactive floor covered a massive 6m x 4.5m and was complemented by a suite of high-powered gobo projections. The spectacle thrilled the thousands of passers and created massive exposure for the London Aquarium and County Hall.
For the second year running Projection Advertising were asked to produce three simultaneous building projections across Edinburgh and Glasgow in support of the Scottish football team's penultimate qualifying match against Italy in the European Championship qualifiers. Using our giant scale slide projectors, images of key members of the National football team were projected onto iconic land marks, including the National stadium Hampden Park. The giant projections succeeded in rallying the Tartan Army before and after the game, despite their team's unfortunate draw.
November saw the start of an interactive projection campaign across a number of major European cities for Hilfiger denim. Members of the public used daylight visible interactive windows to design their own graffiti tags using a branded software application. The best designs were projected around the cities at strategic shopping areas and busy nightlife areas, showcasing the artwork and Hillfiger Denim.
Following last years success of the NWAA projections Projection Advertising were asked to produce a series of building projections across Liverpool landmarks to celebrate Liverpool's 800 year anniversary. Sites were chosen for either cultural significance or high volumes of passing traffic- a common compromise when trying to reconcile the two aims of PR exposure and advertising.
Lapland UK brings the charm of a Christmas in Lapland to a forest near you in the UK. How better to start this 'flight to Lapland' than a huge projection of a Roland Briggs Snowman wrapped around the inside of a 15m inflatable dome. The projection dome and the entire Lapland UK concept was a huge success and we look forward to working with the team next year.
Projection Advertising were asked to design a branding solution for the Wine Show using light projection. Two small scale gobo projections rotated in the reception area, with a huge rotating logo onto the roof. A high output projector was then used to project a 5m wide logo onto a white wall outside - with such intensity that it was visible well before the sun went down. The quality and sharpness of all our projections were noted.
Projection Advertising were asked to design and supply a massive interactive projection floor for the Microscope Ball at the Hilton Park Lane. As always, setting the bar high for the biggest and best projections in the field, we installed a massive 6m x 4.5m interactive projection floor onto the white dance floor. The customised interactive reveal effect reacted to every footstep they made whilst dancing the night away, providing great exposure for the sponsors whilst delivering an entertaining experience, complementing the theme of your event.
